What happens if i die without a Will (intestate)

Some one in your family or a loved one will have to apply to the probate courts to sort out your estate. Assuming they have been given permission from the courts to act as the Executor, it is now up to them to ensure that any inheritance tax is paid and your estate is distributed according to intestate laws. The probate process often takes months - sometimes years- if it cannot be decided what your final wishes would have been had you made a Will. This could give rise to family disputes, children not benefiting from your estate, your home being sold off to pay taxes, children becoming wards of courts, people who you DON'T want to benefit from your assets may get a share and, your share of your business not passing to family.

Your estate may even end up being absorbed by the Crown if no one can be found to inherit your estate.    How to Get started

"Cheap does not guarantee it's good". Your Will is a very important legal document that lays out your final wishes; therefore we appreciate that writing a Will requires careful thought and preparation to complete. There are many different aspects to consider in a Will, i.e. setting up trusts or severance of tenancy. There are Will templates that you can buy or down load from the internet, but they may not cover protect your estate entirely. And you will still have to get the Will checked out with a specialist or Solicitor. There is no substitute for professional advice when writing your Will.     How to Get Started
