There are 5 steps to Making Your Will
1.Making the Appointment
Once you have made the decision to write your Will you need to call us to make an appointment. We can come out to your home or take your instructions over the phone. Giving instructions over the phone is a popular choice for people who have straigthforward Will requirements. It is then easy to give us a call and tell us how your would like your estate to be divided. See FAQs
2.Deciding who gets what
After confirming your appointment you will need to prepare for the Consultant's visit. Before he arrives, think about who you want to inherit your assets and who you want to give specific items to. For example as well as family, you might like your favourite charity to benefit or you want to make sure the family pet is looked after.
You will need to take into account everything you own including, property, money, savings, land, art, jewellry, personal affects, investments (including ISAs,PEPs etc) and so on. Don't forget you include those who you DON'T want to benefit from your estate
3.Giving your instructions
At the appointment you tell the Consultant how you want your estate to be divided and specify who gets what. The Consultant will advise you on how best to protect your assets and take your instructions down in writing. This normally takes about 1 hour. The Consultant will take your payment when he has taken all your intsructions.
4.How your Will is drawn up
Once the Consultant has your instructions, they are sent over to our Will drafting department where your instructions are drawn up into a legally binding document. We don't need a solicitor to check our documents as other companies do because all our staff are trained and fully qualified Members of the Society of Will Writers.
5Your Will is Ready
It takes approximately 10 days for us to draft and return your Will back to your for signing. With some companies this can take up to 4 weeks (or months if they are not very good). If you choose our fastrack priority service your Will is completed and ready for signing in 3 days.
All our Wills are insured through the Society of Will Writers with a money back guarantee if your are not satisfied with your Will.
Don't put it off any longer.
